Amanda M. Ream

Associate

Amanda Ream is an associate and she practices in the firm’s litigation department, with an emphasis on administrative law, state procurement disputes, education law and commercial litigation. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia and United States District Court, Southern District of West Virginia.

After graduating from Indiana University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice, Ms. Ream graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2003.

While in law school, Ms. Ream was a Presidential Scholar and Phi Alpha Delta Member. She is currently a member of the West Virginia State Bar and the Kanawha County Bar Association. A native of Charleston, Ms. Ream takes an active role in her community and is President of the Junior League of Charleston.

Ms. Ream has been involved in the following recent cases:

  • Administrative hearings before the West Virginia Public Service Commission and the West Virginia Department of Administration, Division of Purchasing
  • Due Process educational hearings
  • Matters concerning the acquisition of certificates of need for telecommunication and motor carrier entities
  • State court litigation involving breach of contract, real estate and employment disputes
  • State court litigation involving oil and gas leases and royalty disputes
  • Drafting prenuptial and separation agreements
